The stars of Hollywood toast with Ferrari at the Emmy® Award Governors Ball

Italy’s sparkling wine par excellence once again played an important role at one of the world’s most popular entertainment industry events

Actors, producers and Hollywood celebrities raised a toast to the winners of the Emmy® Awards with Ferrari Trentodoc, selected for the fifth year running as the official sparkler of Emmy Awards season.

At this 71^st edition, Ferrari once again brought a touch of the Italian Art of Living to several events organized by the Television Academy in Los Angeles, culminating in the eagerly anticipated Governors Ball on 22^nd September, the gala party that follows the awards ceremony at the Microsoft Theatre each year. This year’s theme, Brilliance in Motion, sought to represent with its special effects the great energy that the television industry is currently enjoying in this golden era of extraordinary production values and highly popular series. Over 3,700 guests at the Governors Ball were welcomed with glasses of Ferrari Brut and Ferrari Rosé, which were also enjoyed among the many toasts that followed through the course of the evening.

The guests at the Governors Ball had a chance to taste the exclusive Giulio Ferrari Riserva del Fondatore 2007, make use of the elegant Ferrari Vcanter pouring device to enjoy Ferrari wines from large format bottles and view some unique labels dedicated to the stars who were nominated. Ferrari’s special guests included two prominent Italians of great global renown: soccer star Alessandro Del Piero and performer Elisabetta Canalis.

The Governors Ball marked the pinnacle of an intensely creative period for Ferrari Trento in Los Angeles. In the days preceding the Emmy celebrations, Ferrari transformed an extremely elegant mansion in Beverly Hills into Villa Ferrari, where Matteo Lunelli, President and CEO of the winery, played host and welcomed press and celebrities for lunches, aperitifs and an exclusive party.

On September 14^th and 15^th, guests at the Creative Arts Governors Ball events toasted the nights’ winners with Ferrari. On September 20^th, Ferrari’s sparkling wines were featured at the Performers Nominee Reception for nominees at the Wallis Annenberg Center in Beverly Hills. Immediately following, the Ferrari flowed at the Sunset Tower, the famous hotel in the heart of Hollywood, at the Entertainment Weekly magazine party, which attracted more than five hundred guests, including many of this year’s celebrated stars. Over the course of the events more than 20,000 glasses of Ferrari were served.
