Ferrari unveils the 2012 Giulio Ferrari Rosé vintage

Ferrari Trento presents the 2012 vintage of Giulio Ferrari Rosé, the sixth vintage of this Riserva dedicated to the Founder of the Trento-based company with over 120 years of history. It was first unveiled in 2018, with the 2006 vintage, and immediately established as an icon of Italian rosé sparkling wine.

A perfect synthesis of the elegance of Chardonnay and the character of Pinot Noir, symbolic varietals of the sustainable mountain viticulture practised in the Lunelli family’s vineyards on the slopes of the mountains framing Trento, the Giulio Ferrari Rosé 2012 stands out for its persuasive and decisive expressiveness.

From an anomalous vintage characterised by a warm winter and cold weeks, especially in spring, hailstorms in summer and that required a manual and strictly selected harvest, the talented team of agronomists and oenologists were able to guarantee an excellent quality of wine, which then rested in the silence of the cellar for over ten years.

Now unveiled, this Trentodoc is resplendent with antique pink gleams, veering towards coral. On the nose, the delicate hints of blood orange and apricot combine with notes of cinnamon and white pepper, enriched by the intriguing aroma of physalis and a hint of mineral, in a fascinating sensation of intense pleasure, which closes with salted caramel. The very fine bubbles emphasise the wine’s vibrant intensity and enhance its savoury persistence, which makes for a satisfying and fascinating tasting experience.

The 2012 vintage reconfirms Ferrari Trento’s obsession with excellence, which, with the Riserva del Fondatore, reaches its highest expression, also in the Rosé version.
