A range full of emotions
From our obsession with excellence, cultivated for over a century, comes this Trentodoc that promises to become Italy’s iconic rosé sparkling wine.
Colour and perlage
A brilliant salmon colour, with coppery highlights that verge towards coral. The perlage hypnotizes you with its fine and abundant bubbles.
Nose
Delicate hints of wild-rose jam and citrus fruits mingle with spicy and mineral notes, offering an immediate sensation of pure and intense pleasure.
Taste
It strikes you with its vivid intensity. Its very concentrated fruit is balanced by the fresh burst of tanginess that gives it extraordinary length on the palate and creates a perfect all-round taste profile.

“2008 was the third vintage of Giulio Ferrari Rosé, an extreme season, «the most rainy and hot in the history in Trento» according to Marcello Lunelli. Produced with 30% of Chardonnay and 70% of Pinot Noir […] What is impressive about this wine is its vinosity. The nose shines with earthy strawberry notes, root beer (tamarind), angostura and candied orange. Bone dry, slightly tannic, with crisp long acidity over a broad palate. I totally agree with the winemaker Ruben Larentis for whom this rosé has to be aged in order to lose the fruit in favour of complexity.”

“This wine is a game changer for Italian Metodo Classico. Congratulations.”

The newest member of the Ferrari family is the exciting 2006 Trento Metodo Classico Extra Brut Rosé Giulio Ferrari Riserva del Fondatore. This wine does indeed make a grand entrance. The fruit is so supple and ripe and the beading is extra fine and silky as it glides over the palate. The color is dark pink and raspberry with polished copper highlights. It finishes with subtle mineral notes of crushed rock and granite that are an undeniable signature of winemaking in Italy’s Dolomites. This mid-weight sparkling wine ages on the lees for 11 years, and aromas of baked baguette and brioche linger long. Dare I say it? This single bottle brings Italy very close to some of the top Champagne houses that have earned our attention and praise. This wine, this new sparkling rosé, is a game changer for Italian Metodo Classico. Congratulations.

Thanks to its well-chiselled power and vinosity, this is more of a serious food wine rather than an aperitif. It has a sophisticated pale salmon colour with a copper hue, followed by a fine, intense nose of white chocolate, rosehip, cinnamon and brioche. The palate is firm and fresh, showing flavours of pomegranate, citrus, cranberry and wild strawberry with some savoury, tertiary notes of balsam and brioche in the background. It’s still very much in its youth, with austere acidity and mineral depth that will reward further cellaring, and it will certainly continue to improve and develop. Without question, this is a worthy stablemate to the original Chardonnay-based Giulio Ferrari Riserva del Fondatore. Drinking Window 2018 – 2032

There’s a lot happening in this glass, which is pretty and complex, with aromas that seem to endlessly swirl and evolve. Freshly picked raspberries, wild cherries and a hint of red cur[1]rant mingle with rose petals and a whisper of blood orange zest. The palate brings a juicy burst of cit[1]rus and red berry fruit, underpinned by a fine, crisp acidity. The structure is both delicate and vibrant, creating a compelling dance of flavors that keeps you reaching for another sip.
